MY EVERYDAY MAKEUP
It’s been a while since my last post, and my ideas about this post have been waiting for months.
I ~ finally ~ got the motivation to write about this after I, um, *ruined my blog last night* and it left me feeling down. But let us just look on the brighter side, shall we? I am able to fix it today and I’m glad to say that there are more improvements here soon (I’m working on it, friends). Hehe ~
My makeup obsession has gone downhill and I admit that it’s getting a bad habit. Mainly because I buy makeup of the same type but of different brands and I think that it is not that practical because… I’m still a student *frowns*. But enough about me - let us talk more about my everyday makeup to school, malls, events, and everydamnplaceigo.
1. THE PRIMER
I either use Benefit’s POREfessional PRO Balm or Nude by Nature’s Airbrush Mineral Primer (which I got recently). Sometimes, I actually use both.
Benefit’s POREfessional PRO Balm gives my face a very matte-feel when I first used it. Unlike my other primers, this one has a dry texture and is very easy to apply since my hands do not get makeup-dirty. It is quite convenient for me since my face is the very-oily-i-don’t-even-know-why type. After a few months of using it, I got used to its effect and wanted to try experimenting with it by mixing it with my foundation, which is what I do until now. On the other hand, Nude by Nature’s Airbrush Mineral Primer, which is the one I usually wear to school since it doesn’t feel heavy, gives me a lighter feeling when I apply it. This one’s more of a liquid and loose primer that is why I prefer using it for school just because I. Am. Lazy. To. Put. Makeup. On. and this feels comfier.
2. THE FOUNDATION
I use Essence’s Stay All Day Foundation or Benefit’s Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow. I’m torn.
Both are my favorites that is why I wear them alternatively (or that is just what I have thought). But to sum it up, Essence’s foundation is for school since it lasts longer and gives a more natural and lighter feeling while Benefit’s foundation is for malls, events, and etc. because I personally save it for the eventful days. Why? Because it’s pricey.
Similarities: both smell good *sniff snff*.
3. THE POWDER
I use L’oreal’s Mat Magique BB Veil, it’s the only powder I have been using for my everyday makeup recently. It gives a smooth finishing which I really, really like when applied. The price is perfect for me, too. Another one of Benefit’s products (yes, if you’re wondering, I love Benefit) POREfessional Agent Zero Shine saves me from my oily face despair. I must say that this is the perfect retouch powder for me since it really helps in avoiding oily face and staying matte all day.
4. THE HIGHLIGHT
A lot of people ask me what highlighter I use and I bet ya’ll know because I talked about it on my social media accounts - TheBalm’s Mary-Lou Manizer ~ so pigmented ~. But I also love The Body Shop’s Radiant Highlighter, although I always forget to use it because it takes me so much time to apply liquid highlighters, despite that this product is amazing!
5. THE LIPS
I use any shade depending on my mood. I like my lips nude or naturally red.
For nude lips, I recommend you to use MAC’s Velvet Teddy or Yash. Both are my personal faves and are also the ones I wear on a daily basis.
For natural red lips, I recommend you to use tints, Monomola’s WOW Lasting Lip Color in Cherry Red or Benefit’s Benetint. I like both but it takes more time to apply Monomola’s tint since it is the one you have to peel off but the results are so natural. On the other hand, Benetint gives a faint rosy red on your lips (or cheeks) and an addicting scent.
So here’s my everyday makeup products and routine! Hope you enjoyed reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it :)
I’m actually planning to do a short video about my everyday makeup and I need your opinions, tweet me at @cessmirandilla, I would like to know what you guys think.
